Fall Field Cleanup will be held on November 7, 2021 from 10am to 2pm.  All help is appreciated, even if you can only donate an hour or two of your time.  Please bring rakes, leaf blowers, gloves and any other equipment you think would be helpful.  Makeup date, if needed, will be November 21, 2021.  Contact Jason Lorish or Kirk Freed at [email protected] if you have any questions.

We will be hosting our first winter training camp, this January and February.  The camp will be held at Schuylkill Racquet Ball Club and open to all interleague players (Cressona, Schuylkill Haven and Orwigsburg).  The program will be held on Wednesday nights starting January 5, 2022 and running through February 9, 2022.  Registration cost is $15 per player and will open November 1, 2021.  Full details will be sent out soon.

Communication:  We will be updating our website: www.orwigsburglittleleague.com and offering online registration.  Our Facebook page will also be kept up to date with news and announcements, follow us at Orwigsburg Little League.  We have a new e-mail address: [email protected] for you to ask questions and/or address any concerns.

How can we do better?  We encourage everyone to voice your opinions now, so we have feedback before the regular season starts.  Do you have an idea, request or problem?  E-mail us at [email protected] with your feedback.  You can also bring your ideas to the next board meeting which will be November 8, 2021, at the Orwigsburg Veteran Memorial Building at 7:00pm.

How can you help?  We are looking for volunteers for the following committees:

• Events Committee – help Cory and Rebecca schedule and coordinate special events through the year
• Field Committee – help Jason and Kirk with field matters.Most notably, we should have a committee ready to be active in the event of inclement weather during playoffs, All-Stars and tournaments.
• Building Committee for Indoor Facility – help develop a plan, fundraising and other matters related to having our own indoor facility.
